I've stayed in The Open for a few months and I really enjoyed staying in that place because firstly, its really convenient as it only takes about 2-3 minutes to walk to school and its located in the city centre, and its just near to everywhere! Besides that, the room is well decorated and all the furniture are new and nice! :) I wanted to continue to stay but the room was so quickly booked by another person :(
Very helpful landlord. Communication is excellent. Any problem in the house sorted very quickly, unlike the landlords of my friends in other private flats that takes months and sometimes just simply ignored. Well done !
I had known Roddy Yang (the landlord) and Vivi Lin (the landlady) for more than four years since 2014. Three different properties I had rented were in the heart of the city, where Eldon Square and other convenience stores are just a stone's throw. The properties I rented were all kept in a good condition, and whenever something was broken, the landlady would help fix it within a few days. Compared with some other private accommodations where the rental fee is not all inclusive (with water, electricity, and internet bills excluded), I think the landlord & the landlady offered a very competitive and reasonable rental fee. I also found that their other services, such as house-moving and luggage storage, were a plus.
Roddy Yang and Vivi Lin are such a nice landlord and landlady. I stayed at their properties for almost five years. When things were broken, they would get fixed or replaced as soon as possible. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Newcastle upon Tyne during your studies, consider one of his properties. You will not be disappointed!
